Tze Goh

Tze’s international experiences are refined into a pure and serene aesthetic: The T-shirt and its neutrality have inspired him. Tze transformed this staple piece from an undergarment to an outer garment by crossing the barriers of garment identity, from dress to cape and so on.

An incessant use of whites and smooth surfaces leaves no distractions from the form and perfect finishing's with invisible needlework creates pieces that look as though they have been molded. Tze champions a specific material: a fusion of foam and jersey which holds these shapes with clarity. Tze cites architects such as Tadao Ando, minimalist art and sculpture, Roman statues and the existentialist filmmaker, Ingmar Bergman amongst his inspirations. Tze’s work is minimalist yet it perpetuates newness because his clothes have an ease of wear and a refreshing sobriety.
