In the 2nd year we were able to choose an elective to study for our dissertation. I chose a course about the sea. Everyone on the course was connected by a romantic love of the sea and for our first lecture our tutor took us to Hastings for fish and chips.
This piece was inspired by my studies. I converted an old spooky lift in my studio into a peep show, like the ones you might find at the end of a pier in the Victorian heyday of the seaside.
